I was born in Brownsville, Texas, on the border with Tamaulipas, Mexico. As a first-generation American, I carry the story of my parents, who arrived in the U.S. to pursue the American Dream. One of the greatest gifts in my life has been the chance to explore different parts of the Americas from a young age.

Experiencing diverse cultures and meeting people from various backgrounds has shaped my worldview in ways I never imagined. These experiences have made me who I am today. I take great pride in my heritage and the community I come from.

However, I quickly realized that not everyone shares the same opportunities. Many of my family members, including my parents, lived undocumented for years. Some still do, uncertain of what the future holds. The most profound moments of my life have been possible because I was born a U.S. citizen.
